I don't bitch about snow cover, I don't bitch about Silverton being not steep enough or not cheap enough, I don't bitch about traffic on I-70, I don't bitch about crowds at Vail.

Know why? Cuz none of that shit confronts me!

well, i'm scheduled for a heavy round of TPS reports tomorrow... looks like things will be good tho. sunday @ MJ was _sweet_ w/ opening of parsenn, etc.

if i'm in at all, it will be a big MAYBE and then only a super-secret-stealth mission for earlybird train @ MJ...

I haven't skied there since I was a passholder in 1997, but Eldora definitely has it's time and place.

If you weren't a knuckledragger, I'd highly suggest Mines Shoulder on Berthoud. Waist-deep, steep enough to get the adrenaline flowing, and far as I know there's only two sets of tracks down there-- mine and my partners!

He could probably get over there on a board and then ride 6 mile down to the road (that's if it's well packed).

Seven Mile, and there's no way he'd make it out without postholing for a few hours.

There are prolly zero tracks now. But it got skied a shit pile Sunday. Avi danger is ramping up substanially. Chimney Chute and the Teacups slid Sat. afternoon after you left. I'm not gonna pass judgement on what is safe and what isn't but I wouldn't be a track follower right now.

It's done all the time dude, hell I've even snowboarded it. If you've got pole you don't even have to unstrap.

I know that a board can make it out of there, I'm just not so sure a board could make it out there right now with the fresh that's in there. We spent substantial effort laying in tracks, especially in the dead-flat middle section.

There's mos def some funky layers going on up there. Not surprised things are moving. In fact, I was surprised that some of our ski cuts didn't unleash the beast.
