disclaimer: no, I have not tried these.

First - I don't see how these would replace a booster strap, they seem to be completely different devices (although with a shared aim of reducing shin bang). You could still use a booster strap with those.

Second - they're made by a company in the netherlands??? wtf?

Yeah ive talked through email with the guys and they ship to the states shipping isnt that expensive anyways. I see your point that it wouldnt replace a booster strap, but I looked over on newschoolers and the one and only review says that it creates a reall tight fitting boot, with no play at all

What is your shinbang from? Big hucks? Normal skiing? Getting backseat? Slamming in the frontseat?

There are answers for shinbang, and those things aren't it.....

Some chicken legged people can't get boots to properly fit around the calf.

This thing basically looks like an Eliminator that goes all the way around instead of just in front. I'd still use a booster strap with it.

I know the feeling, but you still shouldn't use those. I looks like those go down into the ankle pocket of the boot, and will just make the fit sloppier. More comfortable maybe, but sloppier. And if you can even FIT that thing into your ankle area, something is wrong.

You drilled new holes for your top buckles right? Just checkin...

No its not for down in the ankle pocket, They are supposed to me up at the ery top of your boot right by the top buckle. Its not really a problem of chicken legs for me, I have huge ankles and calfs and my boots fit really nice and snug, just when i start skiing a couple days straight my shins are dead

oh, idk if this changes anything, but ive been lifting for a while but recently started to focus alot on my thighs for ski season, and have tone alot of squats, leg extensions, ect. but on leg extentions i actually have a huge bruise from where my legs push the pad up, right where i get shinbang

I have said chicken legs, and can't find boots skinny enough around the shin. But I also agree with Z that those things would probably create extra slop, especially since they go all around the shin - I'd be worried about my leg sliding around in there. the eliminator shims take up volume but still keep your leg in contact with the boot liner in the back. In my boots I just use bootfitter foam on the outside of the liner (on the tongue and sides of shin).

AJH - with the netherlands comment, I was more referring to the country being completely flat and nowhere near mountains. Seems a bit like buying a surfboard made in switzerland.

leg extensions --> not so hot right now. plenty of other quad exercises that won't involve you bruising your shins, dude.

have you tried eliminator tongue shims? I'd try those before that neoprene shin sock thing.

    and GO TO A BOOTFITTER

Hmm. I ususally do these with the pad low on the shin - near my ankles - and I haven't developed any bruises yet.

Just buy Kryptons. The progressive flex eliminates shin bang. You are not suppose to have to slam into the front of your boots to make them work.

Those things look like they will completely change the way your boots fit and in the process eliminate the ability to feel what your skis are doing. A booster strap should do exactly the opposite.
