    life is normal again!!!!

Well 10 days ago I got dumptrucked, and due to some great luck afterwards I'm now at home, in banff, eating, walking and glad to be alive.

Beeski can work on the lear jet TR, but I'll do the past little bit

I'm discharged from the hospital, eating real foods (was hungry this AM, good sign) start physio on Tues.

This AM was just like any other fall morning, got up, skibee made coffee, I came downstairs (walked down myself), had food, checked email and now reading mail and geting the day planned. Still hurts to do somethings, and the cat can't sit on my chest overnight, but getting better every day.

    total damage to me
    removed kidney
    removed spleen
    4 broken ribs
    4 broken transverprossess (broken spine
    colapsed lung
    broken finger and nail.

still amazing to think you can make live after all that
where your helmets, and FULL Padding (thanks leyroy)

on the plus side I dont have to find storage for the motorbike for the winter (totaled) and I have new superpowers.
    1) I know dumptruck foo.
    2) I can stop a sneeze (hurts too much to have it happen)

Thanks to people that donated $$$, I didn't need it, but the hospital has a great Dog theripy program that was really nice, and so the money from the maggots and some more is going to that.

mntlion's fat ski imporium will open soon, I just have to get some thankyou skis out first.

time to check my real mail, and do some running around.

    thanks for the + vibes

    Dave

    That's great news man.

I'd be interested in hearing how it happened when you have time to tell the story. If you don't feel like talking about it please disregard this request

It's amazing how quickly a person can recover, when they're in good shape, and healthy, to begin. I've heard this type of miracle story before, also with someone in great shape. So good to see you typing again, mntlion - you're quite a man.

Good to hear mntlion. Sounds like you won't miss too much ski season.

I see no mention of the nurse / PT stuff. Too "personal" of an experience for a TR there, huh?

That's an impressive list of missing/broken shit. Glad you're OK. Another inspiring maggot.

By the way, I think it was Frozen you met at the TGR premiere, not me. Was he/I on crutches?

Whoa! Read the various blow by blows - for themost part - but never got the full picture... thats some serious rearrangement there! Whats the prognosis on your spine? Turns this winter I hope!

Welcome home, rest up and heal well, Dave.

Wow. I am really glad to hear you are going to be ok. Forgive the stupidity, but you got hit by a dumptruck while on a motorcycle?! That is amazing you are alive. Thought/prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.
    Thanks Shane

It must be so good to be home, eating your own food, and sleeping in your own bed. I am glad you are on the mend!
