approximately a meter of snowfall in the base area in the last 24hrs, still snowing 2-5cms per hour. forecast to continue through the night. winds are negligible in the base area. eating much meat and drinking much fernet y vino con chunk...

Is this a super long season there this year or am I just ignorant to how long the season usually is at LL?

Last season LL was open til the 11th of October. It is based on Christopher Columbus' holiday. Kind of funny the guy gets so much play, even down here.

Unsure of snow totals but it looks mighty white up there. Hoping for the mighty Marte to be open tomorrow, Sunday.

First hand report (chilling at the farm until green light given) is alot of wind and 80 cms at Top of Minerva. That translates into a lot of new snow on top. Hopefully the wind dies down before it is blown away and, more importantly, they can open the chair for one more session this season.

bluebird skies and full gale winds all day. massive snow transport in progress. results of a large avalanche cycle plainly visible on a variety of aspects and elevations, some paths running 1000+ meters.

Unconfirmed reports saying they might not even try to open Marte with two days left. Say it isn't so!
