Hey all, FOBP really needs your help.
We are venue-less for our Denver classroom avy sessions and we're running out of time. Tentative dates are Oct 23 or Oct 24; and again somewhere around Nov. 13-16 (depending on what date we confirm Boulder) We'll know this week exactly. Classroom sessions run from 7:00pm-10:00pm (Hacksaw covers a LOT of material)
We need a room that can accomodate a minimum of 80 people and up to 120+ people (that's how many showed one night last year). It can be a lecture hall, theater, auditorium, gymnasium, church basement, conference room, warehouse, anyplace like that. If it's really big and cavernous, we'd need a small PA system so Hacksaw doesn't have to shout all night.
It's to every backcountry skier's benefit to make these classes happen, whether you ski Berthoud or not. The more educated users we have, the safer the backcountry and the better able we are to watch out for each other. It would be a terrible shame to not pull this off just because I couldn't get us a room.
So I'm asking for your help.
