    mismatched solly toes and heels

Anybody else running mismatched solly toes and heels? Specificly a 957 toe with a 912 heel

Before deleting his post HS suggested running less then race stock bindings on my Powder Plus setup

Its raining and grey and I'm stuck at the house so I decided to weigh the 912's vs the 957 to find out how much weight difference there was

turns out that a 912 toe piece is actually slightly heavier then a 957 toe, and not surprisingly a 957 heel is WAY heavier then a 912

basicly if I run 957 toes with 912 heels I lose about 1.5 pounds total which makes the skis noticably lighter just hefting them around

I've got all the settings right(Forward pressure, toe height, wing pressure) and I've cranked the heel din on the 912 up to 10 which was what I was running on the 957 heels

Obviously I'm going to have more slop in the heel going from metal to plastic, but I'm hoping that the loss in weight makes them easier to handle in tight spaces
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I've seen some s914 toes with 977 or something heals. Don't know what the benifits were but worked a treat a whole season with no probs.
    I ski therefore I am.

    nice thanks guys

just wanted to make sure the left binding wasn't going to ignite into a ball of flame while the right one turned to stone

Functionality should be OK. Might want to take some calipers and measure the stack height of the toes and the heels, make sure they're the same (or within reason), so you don't get really weird ramp angles.
