According to that size chart I should be skiing 160s. 170 if I'm a "specialist"
Those are purdy though!
what's S&C? *har har*
seriously though, why should those be better than my B2 Metrons?
question #2: why are they missing some wood from the tail? is this to save weight?
I wish I had more money.
now you've got me thinking! what do i need to be in order to get those skis if, say, i'm just an average expert (+5) skiing pow (+5)? adding +4 for the skis makes +14, which leaves me with 181cm to make up for. interpolating from the weight table, i must be between 220 and 250 pounds in order to be able to drive 181 cm skis.Originally Posted by SherpaStyle
note that if you're below expert level in ability, you must be between 300 and 700 pounds to be able to ski the 195 AK Rocket.

Its a toss up...i think the metrons may take the cake if they comply with the size chart and if you have markers on them.Originally Posted by f2f

Meh.....
I feel like I should want them, but I don't.
were there 1080 moguls up before?
ie are they following that list on the bottom
I should be all over that shit, but I had been drinking tonight and definitely don't know where my wallet is. Tomorrow I'll figure out if it is a curse or blessing.
I want. I have the cash. I will not spend it

I skied these again a couple of days ago at Temple Basin. The day was powder up high and on the south slopes, sunburned mashed potatos on the north slopes later in the day, and ice crusted chop on the lower south slopes late in the day. These things ate up all of it. The tips float in a forgiving fashion, but when you lay into them they come right around and they hold an edge superbly through the junky junk. No trouble getting them to run either - Patrol at Temple asked if we could make some bigger turns through the untracked (kiwi sarcasm). I was really, really happy with the AK's (mounted AT - I don't really think these things are torsionally rigid enough that you lose by just mounting them AT for added usefullness). Great versatile ski for soft all mountain skiing...they suck though when a day requires you to bomb groomers or navigate bulletproof crusty crust on the way to or from the pow - which is where the Bros stiffs that I recently added to my quiver step up to the plate nicely.
Its really just a fun, fun ski - much better graphics on the current S&C skis than the last deal as well.

Someone didn't get the message on the 195cm skis they were making.
For question 2- That is the customized "slot so that they fit when you slide them into the standard skinny old school 1970's ski racks that sometimes are still around" - they stay up right and you are not forced to find somewhere else to put your fat skis.Originally Posted by f2f
