So, I'm currently riding a pair of Mojo 90's as my do-everything ski, but I'm looking for something fatter and at least as stiff for powder and charging. I've skied a pair of iM103's and they were awesome, but I think I want something a little softer because the thought of a backseat landing on those makes me cringe. I'm not sure about the flex of the B Squads or the new Mojo 103's, but if they're slightly softer than the original monsters I'd be interested in buying a pair. However, I almost have my heart set on getting some 186 LP's instead. I'm 6' and 160 lbs and ski aggressively (at Bridger Bowl and Big Sky, if that matters), so I need something that will float ok, but still be really stable going fast and not totally buck my ass off cliffs. Also, I'm hoping to get some FKS 155's on them--I got a set with one brake for $190 so I'm not sure how that will work out--so any sort of insight on the skis or an offer to bend/give me a brake would be appreciated! If I can't figure out something for the brakes, then I may be trying to get rid of the bindings in favor of some p14's.
It depends what size squad you are looking at. 184 is supposed to be a reasonably stiff but still managable ski. Over a 184 squad will be much stiffer and I think both the 103's and LP's are also.
There is also a look/rossi brake bending thread with pics. Search for it.
Yeah, I'd get the 184 squads if I got those. I also forgot to add that I'm also considering Bros, but I'm not sure how those would stack up against the LP's and what flex would be ideal. I still have two months until the lifts start running to make up my mind, but I'll be doing some ski shopping tomorrow and I'd like to make up my mind soon.
