    Another Bro Question

Sorry if this topic is redundant, but I'm interested in getting the Bros in 179 & 188. My question is which ones would be better to get in the stiff & which ones would be better to get in the soft.

    5'10" @ 190
    Ability: 7/8
Current skis: 179 SV's & 180 Explosivs (picked up the Volkls this summer, haven't ridden them yet)
    Mountain: Mammoth

Can you describe a little how you intend to use each ski? (the 188 and the 179) Will they both be for the resort (Mammoth?). Will either of them be intended as your BC ski (mounted with AT Bindings?)?

Both for inbounds @ Mammoth. Ski aggressively. Ski most of the mountain except for the super technical stuff off the top. Love mach looney groomers, bumps, as long as they're not icy sharks teeth & of course the fresh stuff when I'm lucky enough to be there for it.

Since you used the words "mach" and "looney" together in the same sentence....I'm going to have to recommend the Stiffs. The Softs can certainly mach...and they can definitely get looney....but mach + looney = Stiffs.

(go Soft though on the 179 if you have any quiver overlap concerns between the 179 Bro and the 180 Explosiv)

If the 188s were for only powder days would you still recommend the stiffs?

If that's the case, then yup, I'd more inclined to recommend the Soft 188's. Softer flex gets the ski floatin up top a little more.

    I concur with Tyrone.
I'd go with 188 softs (pow days) and 179 stiffs (everyday ski). You did say and, didn't you?

Yeah, looking to get both, much to the dismay of my wife.
