    New DJ Shadow

Anyone else had a listen to this yet? I picked this up last night with high hopes that it would live up to all other releases, which it didn't. Shadow lays down some filthy beats as usual but some of the lyricists on the album decimate them. It'd be better as just an instrumental album in my opinion.

Not got the album yet, but I wasn't too impressed with the new single for the reasons you've already mentioned

Got it too. After reading all the negative reviews, I almost didn't buy it thinking it would be absolutely horrendous. The reviews make it sound like the whole album is hyphy, which is not case. There's about 1/3 hyphy tracks, of which some have some clean beats, and the rest sounds pretty tyical of his past sound.

Going to see him tonight with Massive Attack...should be good.

It's startinng to grow on me, the david banner track is damn good.

If anyone is craving some good beats 'Blue Sky Black Deaths' new album is some good audio. Double disc with the second being completely different instrumentals.
