Yes skiing the pass right now is dangerous. I wore more armor than I ever have. Full face, knee/shin plates, full armor shorts with plates, elbow/forearm plates, pack (the only thing missing was chest/upper arm)... I skied very cautiously ... I have no wish to end my season before it begins so I took all precautions.
    Dangerous? Puleeeze.

Brett saying it's retarded is one thing. It was retarded. Retarded fun. But you guys saying it's sooooooo dangerous - gimme a freaking break. Hope you dont get a hand cramp typing on the computer.

Zach - I'll just wait until you tell me it's safe to ski, how's that sound?

I booked my flight back, and it looks like I'll have 4 days in SuCo right after New Year's to fuck around.

BE THERE! I won't beater this time. And if I do, you'll be the man to see, 1/8 of the way to those two letters.

And ya, Dside is a total gaper. That's where I drew the idea from. I wanted to be a huge gaping gaper just like him.
(only one for a decent price that fit, actually).

Im no judge of when it's safe or not. Just be careful out there until we get a base built up cause I'd like to ski with you later this season......

It was far less dangerous than I thought it was going to be, especially with care taken. I found it to be less dangerous than some of the DH mtbing I've done this summer. It certainly won't kill you, but the chance for a little fall creating a pain in the ass injury is certainly there. I know I fell quite a bit (it is unavoidable).

I didn't know it was possible to be this busy, but med school kicks ass. I'll be home in force for x-mas though, so we'll have to make some turns. I already miss the snow (on mountains anyway)

I don't know Shera, but I was reading today's article online on the Summit Daily and wondered if this was the same person?

    exerpted from the Summit Daily...

" ......At least a half dozen eager snowboarders and skiers were sampling the fresh fluff at Loveland Pass Friday morning, but local skier M.... B.....(I bleeped out the full name) said she's convinced she scored the first tracks of the season when she skied the pass at dawn Thursday with about five inches of snow on the ground....."

A dude from the Rocky Mountain news took some pictures of me and took down my name yesterday. Wonder if I made it into there...

    Anyone read it?

    This is my house, beyotch!

Hehe, yeah that's me. The paper called me to confirm. They said they were sending a photographer out today, so hopefully some maggot will be on the front page tomorrow.

Good for you! I figured so, but I was ready to call out the Summit Daily if need be..

It's funny that I still read that paper and check classifieds for jobs/housing 9 years after I spent a season there.

Just you wait, I'm going nationwide this winter.

It is pretty cool really, because it's the same week and covers both my summer and my winter life. Equinox.

    Retarded, dangerous...whatever.
I had to go up to the Love Pass today.
    25 snowboarders and myself.
I am pretty sure it fits the definition of skiing!
Boot top everywhere and even more where it was drifted.
still very rough on the skis, only fell once.
Read the news today and missed that blurb...might have to go back and find it.
    Hitchiking back up was...uh...fun.

Hey, those guys from yesterday called and asked me to dinner. I passed because I'm skiing tomorrow, but the circle is growing. We need to hang out at the Dillon Dam guy's house and habla the espanol...

Sorry I didn't do the Arts Alive thing today. Had business. Soon though.
