So I was flying over Baghdad a couple nights ago, sometime last week, and as usual monitoring the aircraft radios and stuff. Anyway somebody out there was using a callsign of "Crocodile Hunter xxxx", with the xx being some numerical number, and I think that's horseshit because it's fuckin' disrespectful of the dead. Typically my particular aircraft uses "Reach xxxx" like "Reach 5024" or whatever.
The best I've heard up there, however, was "derka" - "derka 52" or such.
Anyway RIP Steve Irwin.
disrespectful assbags making callsigns

If you're in the position of having to be flying around Baghdad and still able to be upset about radio call signs (and then post about them here, no less), I'd say you're doing pretty well (relatively speaking).
Well done.
Such is my job, hoss. Takes me there and back every couple weeks. And we're not doing any shooting, but rather doing our best to get in, do our job, and get the fuck out without getting shot. When's the last time you did that? Besides your crack deals in Harlem.
Big gray jet w/ American flag on tail = gigantic target.
