Just wondering. Weren't they $299 last year?

It's the premium you pay to have access to Castle Rock.
why not just go to Kirkwood?
Try $1100-1200 at the Bird. My student pass at the Bird will set me back $540 this year. I'd be stoked to get a season pass for $299.
Try $1570 at J-Hole!
(But I would never pay even a 1/4 of that.....)
Don't think I've seen a year where prices didn't go up since the late '80s...

The chutes, they cost more to keep safe.
The bird is bigger, better, and has a longer operating season.....Originally Posted by sunnygirluvspow

Still struggling with this one. I guess I have 14 days to decide.Originally Posted by El Chupacabra
Keep the chutes safe? You actually think they know what they are doing up there? Never have and never will. I think the $50 is to pay for more liftys to yank passes from broke college kids. Or maybe its to fund the towing they do if you leave your dog in your car while you ride. Or maybe its because they are going to upgrade the resort... nope.

See you when Kauai freezes over.
It's because they can.
They sold 10,000 value passes last year and expect to sell 15,000 this year. Given that the parking lot filled up pretty much every sunny weekend day, it doesn't do them any good to sell that many passes, so they'll keep jacking the price up until skier numbers fall. It sucks, but it's what I'd do if I ran the place.
I pray the Falcons have more 'away' than 'at home' races.
