No mention of Louisville? Come on, that's where the rockin really happens.

If you can't find a cute girl to stare at in Bldr you're blind, or gaey, not that there's anything wrong with that. Seriously son, you have questions that need answerin.

I like going out on a trail and coming across some of the African runners and realizing that is what running really is. Wow.

I bet Flagstaff gets more snow than Boulder and I'm sure The Rockbowl (Snowbowl) gets more snow than Eldora. It's not the Indian Peaks though.

I read somewhere that SLC is <50% of the predominate culture. But yea, there's not really a seperation of Church and State here.

...but hey, in the people's republic its nice when the arguments are only over what level of protection we should give our land and water.
I think it UT it's how we can best strip mine the valleys. But hey, they have some master plan to develop a new ski area and a bazillion homes over by the mine. Some of my neighbors: "if I can't ride it, I'm not going there" (horse, 4-wheeler, snowmobile). But hey, other than the sled-heads, that keeps the backcountry quiet. Well, other than the Powderturds, but only the Salt Lakers complain about that.

There are always people to meet out there. Staying in one place is kinda boring.

I'm better than all of you. At everything. This rant is stupid.

Just thought you all should know that.

^^ Lies. Ermine probably works for the Department of Commerce or something.

Every day in SLC is a living hell.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Yes lies, but I sure as hell don't work for DoC. I'm just anti-Eastern Slope.

oh, i agree with you, i like the women in Boulder much more than the majority of girls from the South. Physical beauty is only a small part of the whole, and most of them are exactly how you described them. I'm not down with that, which is why I am here now. It's pathetic to talk to friends or here about people I went to high school with and they are all married and have super serious, corporate jobs, and kids. Just don't understand why they felt they needed to rush through life so badly.

    yup that sums up boulder

I lived in that bubble for 5 years, and i must admit, i loved everyday of it. Boulder is one of the greatest towns in the world. it basically has everything. well except a really nice Point Break.

    cheers

Personally who gives a fuck? Live where you wanna live, do what you wanna do and hang out with people you like. Ignore the rest….

Anyway, people who think they are more “core” (what a lame term) than you or who constantly spray about their abilities are just insecure.

I like what you had to say. keep it coming

I've had alot of fun in and near Boulder, many of my friends went to CU (I sure as hell didn't), and friends who bought there years ago are still there, but this is a ski site:

    1) WHERE'S THE BEEF? (no skiing--until Springtime in the IP)
    2) way too expensive to live there (housing)

That's it, 1 & 2, the rest of the gripes really don't matter. If you think driving up I-70 is skiing, then you need to travel around the West a little more.

You've obviously never been to RMNP. Unless by "skiing" you mean "lift-accessed feelings of superiority." Then I recommend going to Beaver Creek.

If you like small inexpensive towns why are you spraying about them? The people who move there and make them expensive are the kind of people who read this website.

Hey man, for resort steez, the Beav has some nice side country (which supposedly is now "official") quick, easy access.

That's right. No Doctors read TGR. No Lawyers read TGR. No Yuppies read TGR. No Business Execs read TGR. No quasi idle rich people read TGR. The only people who read TGR are tried and true working class ski bums. If that were true this place would monumentally suck ass. TGR is interesting because people from all those groups read and post here.

Simplistically people moving to your town = prices raising. Unless the supply is increasing, more demand = more money.

Yep, Boulder sucks because even though it has more access to more outdoor activities than most places, there are some towns that have closer skiing and/or other activities. And even though Colorado has some good skiing, some states have better places to ski than Colorado. And yeah, it's absurdly expensive. It's so expensive that nobody can afford to live there except the really really rich, non-core, poseurs.

    It sucks. Stay away.

seems to have varying degrees of the aformentioned boulder problems. and most of the other western states have better skiing/biking/kayaking/general expeditioning etc. although i think denver is up and coming. and all the ski areas are resorts and cant hold snow on steeps
