Crescent City is like 8 hours from here. There must be a maggot or one of your Ham Radio buds up that way who can go check out the bike. If its legit, send the maggot a certified check or paypal the money to him and have him give the guy cash (or something like that). Or just spend a whole day driving that new car of yours - or better yet rent the cheapest car you can and put a ton of miles on it. Maybe you can find a hottie on Craigslist who needs a ride to Eureka and wants to pay your gas.

My first reaction to the Wester Union thing is that its definitely a scam.

PayPal could be an option too, since they will have his personal info from opening an account.

It's over- he's done dealing with me after I declined Western Union. That was the only option in his mind- total scam. Mike Williams- doubt that's his real name, never know.

I am actually driving through Crescent City on saturday. Sounds like the deal is over but I would be willing to help. I can't take delivery of the bike but could probably check it out or whatever. But seriously it sure sounds like a scam.
