I dont live there, but I've skied at Copper a fair amount.

i really like that mountain, it's a great place for tele, as the back of the mountain has lots of terrain that you have to sidestep/sortahike to get to. Snowboarders and alpiners have to click out for alot of it, but on teles you can just walk right out there. It has decent terrain, good enough to keep you interested after being in PA.

    have fun

I live in Frisco and ski Copper and Vail pass frequently. You're stoked as a Copper employee, you can use you comp real deal passses to ride at any other CO mtn other than Vail Resorts.

See you this winter, would love to use a comp real deal pass sometime!!!

the edge . yea i figured its not so hot . rooms are small. living with non english speaking people isnt on my high priority list. but the kids ski school is a short walk as well as the american flyer lift. wont have to wrestle with parking ( i hear you have to park far away then shuttle in) so il stumble out of bed down stairs and be ready to go...

    Copper

Copper is a very cool place. Lots of good terrain in the back bowls and not much traffic. Once you get to know your way around there are always stashes of good snow to be found due to the elevation and the aspect, especially if you are willing to hike a few minutes. The front side gets logjammed on weekends but, what the bleep are you doing there anyway...

Come on over to Winter Park/Mary Jane when you get the chance. Your pass is good at Copper and Winter Park (just go straight to the lifts, don't need to get comp'ed tickets). The cafeteria at the edge is a pretty good deal (especially if you are visiting Copper). You won't be able to get real deals for Breckenridge or Keystone (why would you want to?), Vail or Beaver Creek. (In other words, the only other "local" resorts you'll be able to ski for free are the basin, Copper and Loveland.)

As a kids instructor, you'll probably love the use of snowmobiles with trailers for transporting the little darlins' around the mountain.
ya know, beer is far more than just the world's most perfect breakfast food.
