    This is the meadow that we got dropped off at for the NOLS course I took. There's a dirt road that runs about a mile off the hwy. We climbed up the Nelchina glacier to the top of the range. Nice area. Nasty mosquitos.

    thruth-the trick to avoiding mosquitos is avoiding may june and july the mosquios up there are so so so so so bad nice area though

    akpm, please get yourself a digital camera if you haven't yet. that way, you'll be able to delete shitty photos before you pay to get them developed/printed. that, and you'll be able to learn quicker

    advice-- Take a light semester load (12hours) buy a nice glass bong and tell your parents you need extra cash for lab fees.

    Truth-

    I did a Semester in AK w/ NOLS- also went up the Nelchina to Mt. Fafnir. Might have the spelling wrong there... great spot for sure. Coming down we went over a pass and down the Tarr. The firn line was pretty high the summer I did it- 2 big cravasse falls and a lot of poking through.
