Hypothosis
I've got a hypothosis on why these type of posts come back periodically and are so simple-minded in nature.
It's not a person looking for attention like Bart Simpson jumping up and down yelling "look at me - I'm doing something bad over here so pay attention to me", just a machine that spits out posts and counts responses.
So it's not a real person at all, but a program/bot that is being used in an experiment on group dynamics and stimulus-response. Every started thread or post that gets ANY response is counted as a "hit".
That's why the only thing that shuts it up is silence.
As someone else said - Ignore the trolls.
Treat these "posters" as the unthinking robot that they act like.
No matter how provocative a post seems, simply do not respond and put that user name on your personal Ignore List and the posts will go away for a few months until it tries again.Good runs when you get them.
