    WTB - Binders (2 pair)

Looking for one pair for the GF, either Solly's to 12 din or Rossi/look to 12 din for her pair of exploders.

Looking for one pair for me, either Solly 14+ or Rossi/look 14+ for my Kingswoods.

Kingswoods are the fats, so definitely wide, and the GF's exploders are pretty wide, so need "relatively" wide brakes in each case, or the ability to easily bend.

    Maybe a tech talk question, but i am 5'8" @ 160lb, do I need 9-16's/equivalent or am I fine with the 14's?

    Thanks.

    Love,

    Evmo

if you have never broken 912/914 then you do not need a 916

Cool, thanks. I was thinking moreso of a release angle (as i do come out of my current 9-14s), but I guess the breakage makes more sense...

salomons release better .5 under the max (or more), and don;t put too much forward pressure or you will overload the toe and prerelease that way.

do you tend to prerelease from the toe, heel, or both? what din? how worn is the boot? last time you check the toe adjustments and forward pressure?

I usually run my dins ~12(edit: on my 9-14 with 14 din max), and typically release from the toe. I have a feeling it may be the boot, however, as it is pretty toast at this point (and I havent done the latter check you mention in a little while, so the forward pressure issue makes a bunch of sense). Just ordered new boots, so that should be taken care of soon, however. Plus, I am sort of a leper when it comes to adjustments, so perhaps I need to have someone who knows what they are doing take a look at my current skis before I get going this year and obviously set up correctly with the new ones...
