Something tells me this problem is a direct result of policies like "no winners or losers" teams being chosen by the gym teacher in kickball rather than by captains.

The fact that we have an obesity policy (which, apparently is along the lines of "you should be fatter") would probably be a good place to start to figure out the problem. Maybe instead of spending years in front of a monitor figuring out an obesity policy, those people should have just gone out and exercised.
