I just bought a 2004 Giant Iguana with hayes disc brakes, deore components except for the alivio front derailer, and a manitou six 80mm fork. Everything is in great condition. I paid $235. Did I get a good deal, or did I get ripped off?

its so crazy to think how much bike you can get for 200bucks nowadays.
10 years ago that would have been an ~$800 rig probably.

I'd say that was a very reasonable price for that bike. You weren't ripped off or anything, put it that way.

Yeah, sounds like a good deal.
I bought a Giant Iguana in 1989--I think it was about $375. It had a Suntour drivetrain (way back when SunTour was good stuff--had sweet XPress shifters), DiaComp canti brakes, rigid fork that I bent to hell, and kickin neon green and yellow water bottle cages and matching grips.
