A New Addition to the Family

Well my girlfriend and I moved to SLC about two weeks ago from Rochester, NY. I am attending the U and she is working at Cafe Trio for a bit and then she will be working part time and attending hair school to finish up the hours she needs. Somehow you need more hours in UT to do hair then NY. She has been bugging me for a while to get a dog. Well today was the day, we adopted a 9 month old Lab/Hound Mix from Wasatch Animal Rescue. She has tons of energy(maybe a bit too much) but we are up for it. The adoption fee included shots, a vet check up, and 6 obedience classes. The only thing she needs to work on is jumping up on you, which I think all puppies do. She was a bit skitish at first but is much more confident after a few hours with us. She seems like she will make a great hiking partner. Hopefully we can get her to stay around us off the leash.

    PICS:

Congrats, train it while its young or the dog will never learn.
Some people see skiing as a sport, to me its a way of life.

Nice addition. Growing up seems rad. Haha.

But yah, 6 classes is a nice incentive....big popular relief shelter near here does vet work, donation to the shelter, shots, and licensing/paper work stuff. 6 classes is pretty cool.
