Possibly pulling the trigger on some Poons--need some encouragement

I haven't spent a lot of money on skis in some time, but have an opportunity to pick up some poons at a discounted rate. Still though--it's a hefty chunk of change. What say ye? Yea? Nea? Couldn't give two shits? Okeydokey.

Do it. If I didn't have a set of spats still in the wrappers sitting here I'd be looking.

    Thumbs up

As long as you agree that if you don't like them you'll pass them along to me at a super sweet ultra radical discount, I'd say go for it.

    counterpoint

what kind of deal.... $400 or less? if not, go with Spats.

reviews have seemed mixed, at best. other, more versatile & durable skis are on the horizon.

You don't need to justify spending the money to us.

They sound like they ski well but have a tendancy to fall apart. I'd get them for cheap, but your money might be better spent on spats or DP's.

Buy some DPS Lotus 138s instead.

Or if you don't want to spend that much coin, just get the Spats.

    Tried and tested.

EDIT: wow, robo beat me to it.

I'd say go buy Lotus, they look bad ass, poons look like clown shoes. Spat rock, but the reverse camber is a bitch on groomed/hard pack.

I cant tell you're already sold. Make the move. But never pull a trigger; it's a slow, steady squeeze to the rear.

Poons are just oversized fujatives. Ya know, the ones that MSRP for like 250$.

Get some EHPs if you want to pull the trigger on something.

HELL YEAH... support stephan and buy a well made ski for that much coin. the poons are sick and ski awesome, but they are pieces of shit construction-wise. buy the goods, not something that just looks good...
