We are still in the very early stages of development with the Fish-Stix. I can't really give you exact demensions as there isn't even a ski with which to play with yet. We are looking at it being in the high 130's in the tip with a significant taper toward the tail where there will be some kind of fish tail that will allow the ski to sink a bit at the tail in the powder. I'm sorry I can't get you any more info than that, but it's not really gonna help as the production ski has little chance of being the same as our mold right now.

I'm really into innovation. I had this idea. You could like stand on one fish stick sideways and then get this cool heel toe thing going. Then you could like totally make it fat, like mind blowing fat. Now that would be like the ultimate powder ski.

shh.. props on doing your own skis man, they sound pretty sick, even if they just planks.

    The Website!

Well, the website is now official up. Though I don't know if I would say it's fully functional yet. The information on there is pretty well solidified for a couple of our skis that are currently in production. There are no graphics for a few of our skis, especially the womens models. So if any of you artsy folks out there have any ideas for graphics you can e-mail them to casey_bo@yahoo.com. If we use your graphic I'd be willing to bet there's a free pair of skis in it for ya. So, prices are still kinda being worked out, though they won't change much from what they are posted as currently. Also, we only have one women's ski out right now the Monarch, so the "Prissy" is not part of the line-up. Please be patient with the website, it's still a work in progress. But, hopefully this will help answer some questions as to what the skis are and where we are coming from. Thanks.

site has a nice design (though it's slow to navigate).

you probably already know this, but the spelling of "comi" is wrong on the skis. might want to fix that. (probably should be "commie" or at least "commi".) with boards that wise, it should be easy to get on thurr.

Well, I'm glad to see that folks are enjoying the website. This has been a severe learning process and it will only get better and more streamlined in the future. As for the Tahoe's, we are still finalizing cores for the 188 and we are still looking for graphic designs for the top. I believe there is a test trip to Hood planned in the next couple weeks to test some final versions of our skis, I'll be sure to keep this thread as up to date as possible. I also believe that the Commi's are gonna be closer to $600 when they are finished. Keep checking the website and I am always glad to hear comments and questions. Thanks for watching.

Oh, the Reno's are not a center mount ski. Just so everyone knows. We will be testing a true twin Reno at Hood to hopefully bring into the line for you park rats.

great the design but its utterly slow
it shouldnt have to take 10 seconds to do all that flash animation just to display a top sheet and dimensions

I read the thread once, but can't remember and don't want to re-read, so what's the deal with ordering? Where/when/how would I get a pair if I wanted to?

If you are interested in ordering skis, you may contact Casey Hakansson via e-mail or telephone. His e-mail is casey_bo@yahoo.com and the telephone # is 775-691-8816. He can give you up to date information on ski availability and cost. I believe that this is how we are gonna have to do it until the website is fully operational and then you will be able to order direct from there. As for the speed of the website, I'll take this info to our computer guy and see if we can trim it down so the animations load faster. Thanks for being patient, we're learning a little more every day.

That site literally took 5 minutes to load on dial-up. Flash is great for somethings but not great for the whole site. Why oh why does every damn site in the ski/board industry insist on overloaded flash sites. You wait forever for it to load just to click one button and you get to wait again. News Flash Homer, half of ski country is still without broadband.

Most skiers don't live in a trailer and can afford more than a home phone connection. Us snowboarders are downtrodden and shit kid. Fuckin man keepin us down yo.

it takes like 5 minutes for any single page to come up on DSL...so don't feel too bad. sometimes, the pages don't even load. if you click a link, you can wait and wait...and maybe you'll get what you want....or not.

folks always seem to forget that the site exists for a purpose -- and that purpose is not 'to look cool.'

Well, I went online this morning with my slow computer and the website has already been updated and runs at an average speed for me. As I said before, the website is brand new and we are still working on making it faster and more informative. If we came out with some lame ass website everyone would bitch and think that our company was just some shitty little ski brand. Just be patient and it will all come together.

it's definitely better, but it's still slow-as-shit and the only reason is that you want to have 'animation' (panels sliding in and out).

there are plenty of killer sites that load fast -- but your animation is killing you.

i'm all for creative design, but the goal of your site is to get information to people -- like what skis you offer and what the specs are -- not to mention the ordering capability (eventually).

i konw what you're going for, but "cool graphics but slow as molasses" doesn't scream 'big ski brand' to me. get the speed part right, then add in the other design elements (IMHO).

(sorry...i design sites for a living for major companies, and it sometimes rubs me the wrong way howover and over again people focus on design not usability with the 'yeah, but our site's different' argument. you can achieve both goals.)

Again, I just checked K2 and Line skis websites and they load at exactly the same speed on my computer (K2 actually loaded much slower). As for the 'cool' animations, all of the website work nearly the same way. I can appreciate that our site could have more information on it, but it appears to be working as well as the 'major company's'.

not gonna argue with you (what the hell do i know about this stuff?), but when you get to both those sites and click on a particular model of ski, while the pages (graphics) are loading, the stats on the skis comes up pretty damn quick.

everything on your site (including the text) is graphics, so it all comes up slow.

not trying to be an ass...just saying there are ways to get information to the people who want it quick...and also please those who want the info + cool design.
