    mammoth mountain

I'm thinking about spending the winter in Bishop, CA so that I can climb and ski. I'm going to get a weekday pass($500ish). I haven't really heard anything about mammoth. Does anyone have an opinion about it? And is anyone from the Bishop area that would want to carpool to the mountain? Thanks!

(I was planning on Jackson, but I have some weddings to go to during the winter and there is no tram...)

I learned to ski at mammoth - it will always hold a special place in my heart.

I would do what you're proposing if I could.

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I skied Mammoth for the first time this July 2 and 3, and I was particularly impressed with the search function, it was awesome!

There is plenty of b/c in the Bishop area to keep you busy when not climbing or skiing the resort.

Well, I'm going on memory here, but I seem to recall that mammoths were really narrow at one end, where the trunk was, got really big and hairy in the middle, and then got small again at the tail.

My opinion? Well, if I may be honest, mammoths really were overrated. But sabertooths, on the other hand, were truly special.

What does a tram have to do with weddings? Are the weddings in Bishop? Jackson? Mammoth? I'm confused.

Really, that's the thing about Mammoth - you don't hear much about it. Good luck with that. Maybe try here?

weddings are in Oregon. no tram is in Jackson. I just need to stay in OR long enough for the weddings meaning a shorter time that I could be in jackson. ( I was already planing on bishop in the spring). thanks for the input

I'll, um, work on the pictures.

I think they're working on a tram from Mammoth to Oregon. Not 100% sure though.

Mountainchick, definitely check out the Mammoth website and forums.
