    Well, it's official........

Mrs. JC and I are movin back to the place we love; Houghton, MI.

    It won't take much to forget about this;

    And get back to this:

I will be working as a recruiter for the university I graduated from and the Mrs. will be going back to get her teaching certificate. I guess if you want to live in Michigan and you're a skier, Houghton is the only place to do it. I'm so damn excited to have it all out my back door. The xc skiing just happens to be world class, the biking the best within a few hundred miles, and the fact that it's on Lake Superior helps a little too.

    SUPER PUMPED

Hey congrats on heading back to the UP! I spent a lot of time in Houghton in college both skiing and watching hockey! Give 'ol Ripley a good rippin for me! I miss that place, think I'll take the kids up that way this winter.

    Good Luck,
    Jay

PS, I'm a recruiter, Does Tech have a Accounting/Finance degree program? If they do, I could spend an afternoon with your placement office, the ski for a few days and write off the trip!

Yes, we do in fact have an "accredited" business school that includes both accounting and finance degrees. I would love to set you up with the career center, they are a GREAT bunch of people. Let's set it up! If we get good snow I'll take some time off and we'll head up to Bohemia.

PM me and I'll send you my contact info.

People in the Ironwood area might give you an argument.

No offense if you have any friends or family in the "big snow country", but I have never had a good time at any one of those hills.......

    Congrats.

If and when it ever is time to leave Houghton, I'll have a few tears in my eyes when I do it. I don't care where it is I'm going....

And I have to echo justcuz on ironwood. I rarely make the trip anymore, and only when somebody else is going. I'd take a mediocre day at ripley over a good day at any of those anytime.

I have family in both Houghton and Ironwood (Bessemer actually), so I've skied in both areas, but it's been a long, long time. I don't think my memories from when I was under ten years old are good enough to know which area has the better skiing!

    Awesome new man!

I wish you and the Mrs only the best.

I too feel the magnetic pull of the Kee-vee-nah, but I think it will take a few more years to get me.

any chance your new place will have a pull out couch?
