    canmore mags?

So a friend of mine has decided to do a season in North America, and he’s kind of decided he’d like to base himself out of Canmore for awhile and has asked me how easy is it to get to the hills without a car. Which I really have no clue at since I generally steal a car to get to Canmore in the first place. Is there some bus system that isn’t crazy expensive or what?

Its not really stealing if you bring it back to the same spot you borrowed it from and leave it in the same condition that it was in. Tell him to take up the sport of unauthorized borrowing of cars.
If you had a nickel for every nickel he has, you would have a lot of fuckin' nickels!

If he gets a job at one of the mountains there are staff buses from both Canmore and Banff. Or maybe one of his roommates will have a car (everyone has roommates in Banff and Canmore).

No bus from Canmore but from Banff you can get a seasons pass for the Grayline bus to Lake Louise. It's around $300, which is really cheap considering the price of gas/insurance/car and the fact you won't have to do the white knuckle drive after it snows.

Thanks for the info! I was pretty sure Banff was the best bet having spent a considerable amount of my life in Canmore and not having heard of any bus service or whatever. I told him that before, but he said he met some guy on the internet who said Canmore was the place to be… Should know better than trust the weirdos on some website...
