Need some help finding a job in SLC area

It's an internet forum buddy, no one knows (or cares) about your real identity, and your job cold calling people who make more money than you to sell stock is not some sort of "secret agent" shit.

*LOL* thats not what I do That would suck! Although some of my co-workers have done that for some of the major brokerages...they hated it, and thats why they left and work here. Being a stockbroker is NOT a fun job from what i understand. Infact my buddy here used to work for one of the largest and said they would come to him on a regular basis and tell him that they had a new stock that they had in inventory and that they needed to clear it out asap. They then told him to call any of his clients that it could be remotely suitable for and find a way to sell it to them. That is not the type of relationship I would ever want with a brokerage. God knows who's best interest is in heart with them (usually theirs)

There are no promises where I work, those are just some averages. There are some people that have worked here for 3 years and are still making only 50K...we have another person in her 2nd year who has seen over 100K this year already.. As far as qualifications go, yes, there are qualifications...infact enough so that they scare most people away, or people arent willing to go through the hassel to get qualified.

Is this the kind of job where, on or abouts your first day, they ask you to make a list of all your family, friends, friends of family, families of friends, people you have gone to church with, worked with, played sports with, and so on?

Then, those people get to be your first accounts.
