Digital Cam question... for the KODAK DX3900

Does anyone else haveone of these, or a similar model?

    KODAK DX3900

My batteries die in literally minutes (under 30 minutes) from a full charge. We even bought NEW batteries and a new charger. Same thing happens.

I like the camera, I just wish the damn thing could be trusted for a day of skiing. The only way I can use it is to put the battery in to take a quick shot, then take it out. Happens in hot and cold weather (weather does not seem to matter).

It was my dad's and he gave it to me. With the baby due next week, I don't even trust it. I bought a disposable 35mm camera just in case (which I bet I'll wind up using...)

I am trying to decide if we should just start looking into a new one, or if there is something I can do...

    Thanks!!

BTW: the battery seems to die even if the camera is shut OFF and the battery is still in the camera....

That camera is a DOG. Do your self a favor and replace it before it becomes more of a pain in the ass.

That's what I was afraid of.

I just don't have the free cash to go buy a new one right now...

Might have to use redneck credit and put one on layaway or something...
