Edge Separation - does it matter?

I was about to put storage wax on my friend's Titan 82's, but then I noticed it had edge separation underfoot on right edge of both skis. Edge is perfect except a <1mm gap between the metal edge and the sidewall material above it.

Warranty expired. I know how to repair this with epoxy, heat, and clamps, but I'm lazy right now and would rather repair it in December.

THE QUESTION: Is it bad to ski on it 4-5 days before repairing it? Could water get to the core through that gap?

water can get in, better to fix it now, if you don't more water will freeze in the delam, and make it a bit bigger (bigger fix later)

OK, I'm convinced. No storage wax then. I'll fix it later this week. Too lazy right now.

Happy ending. Blizzard and Porter's (Tahoe) deserve props for giving my friend new Titan Nine's and a free mount---even though the warranty had expired on his Titan 82's with edge separations. Inspiring.
