I was fishing in a damn down jacket yesterday. Wft happened to summertime? Turn happened in the Tetons a while back but we will hopefully get some nice Indian Summer days in the next couple months.

It has been unseasonably cool here the last 10 days and is supposed to stay that way another week. May be a good sign of what's to come
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Turning away from the PNW rain towards the upper elevations of Northern New Mexico. Truck is packed, road is open and the stoke is high.

PNW re-turn, amber light, tangled gardens, fallen leaves.

Side garden with ripening tomatos, basil, nasturtiums, dahlias and weeds.

    Leaves, dahlia.

Back deck pots, dahlias, gladiolas, nasturtiums, geraniums etc.

Dead pea vines, more dahlias, basil, anise, tomatos

Nasturtiums gone wild, vine maples turning.

    Have fun in Taos.

Cool even in Los Angeles (although we're having a weird hurricane weather thing from Mexico right now), put away summer clothes and dug out the sweaters.

It has been unseasonably warm here...this is the first time since I moved up on this here hill that we have not had snow by the 15th. The golden aspens have made me miss you kooks just a little bit. Wishing all the rippingest season you want. If I'm out again, look for me in Galway, where life now takes me.

I think "The Turn" is finally making its way here to SW Idaho. Started to cool off some, leaves are turning AND we finally have a cool wet storm here in Eagle/Boise. Riding home from work on my bike, literally getting my ass soaked and I couldn't have been happier!

81F yesterday in Carbondale (6200') and snow sticking on the trees above town now in Aspen at 8000'. Big colors around the valley, but winter begins to make it's presence known.

Also, firm weather predictions of a BIG season coming from our local forecasters: http://www.aspentimes.com/news/aspen...w-this-winter/

    All signs of the times.

However, it's too early to really get excited about making turns (early turns on little to no snow pack = broken bones), but I do love the turn. Not to mention, the precip will make the mountain biking super sweet for the next few weeks!

Was chilly in my boardshorts in SD this morning and nice offshore breeze for the surf. Come home and college football is on. Finally fall!

First snow forecast for MN tonight. Stoke. Also from the pic above, Ullr is all time. A bottle of it always gets passed around during our ski porn premiers (one of many is tomorrow night, stoke X2).
