Seconded. And SW CO would be SICK. I have a feeling there would be a fair amount of hard charging occurring at the Butte/Silverton and/or Highlands (not SW CO, but included in that itinerary).

Keep the votes coming! I know it's not a perfect poll, but I think it'll get the job done. We may need a runoff after this though.

Right now, we've got three weeks with strong showings.

    March 03 - March 11
    March 24 - April 01
    April 01 - April 08

Also, just to be clear, I'm not in any way assuming that I'll be organizing this - I was just trying to get this thing moving forward in a tangible way. I might consider it later, but let's start by settling on some dates!

Let's let thing run for the next business week, then we'll see where we are!

only 77 votes so far. i know that there are more people on the boards that are interested in this and haven't voted yet. i say give it some time, but I would support your nomination as a Summit Organzier.

I only get two days off for spring break this year, March 29th and 30th. That would mean I could make it for 4 days...unless I go on an out of state rotation which starts on April 2nd, in which case I could make it for 0 days.

    Damn school.
Not on here much anymore. Drop me an email if you want to contact me. Have a wonderful winter!

    Intended as:

I CAN NOT - those dates don't work for me, or I can't make it to CO, or I can't afford it, etc, etc, but I really wish I could.

I WILL NOT - I hate you CO posers, and/or I am too narrowminded and provincial to believe that there's anything that could be redeeming about attending this summit, and refuse to make it a priority over my other interests, because I eat bowls of dick for breakfast, order grilled dick sandwiches for lunch, and dine on dickloaf for dinner.

So, as of right now, we have two weeks that have far outpaced the rest.

March 03 to March 11 has captured 23% of the vote, and
March 24 to April 01 has captured 27% of the vote, with
    just over 100 votes tallied.

So, how do we best go forward? Should we do a runoff, to try to get a more accurate count of interest based on just the top two options? With the two leaders seperated by only 4 votes, this doesn't seem like a bad idea. On the other hand, we can keep voting on things until the cows come home, and eventually we just need to pick something solid and start going forward, so we have a chance to plan good stuff and get good deals.

So perhaps we should just let the current winning week be THE week, and start working on other issues, like organizers, locations, etc..., I dunno.

    What do y'all think?

When does the poll close? Seems like votes are still comin' in. - but I think the outcome will still be the same.
I first thought go with the winner, (cause I like that week better for the possibility of at least 1 un-guided day at S-ton).
Maybe the runoff with the "can't" & "won't" in there too wouldn't hurt.

I try not to think. It's bad for my mental health.

    In any case, I'd:
    0) Let this run through the weekend. Harass the sedentary indigent on the Ski page.
    1) Do the runoff between the two leaders with a deadline on the poll. Give it 2 weeks.

Okay, and maybe make the runoff poll a multiple selection poll, so as to also use it to begin to get a better count of actual attendees? (The current poll does not allow for those who can come to any/either date range).

Agree w/ Busta on all points, particularly the not thinking one.

If its possible, I would definitely recommend providing an "either week works" option, assuming you end up w/ 2 competing weeks for the runoff.

A second poll with the top two vote getters (and multiple choice options) is a good idea.

Right now all we know is that 28 people say they can attend Mar 24-April 1 and 24 say Mar 3-11. We need to find out how many of the 50+ people who picked another week could attend during either one (or both) of those weeks - so as to find a time frame that works for the largest number of people.
