Denver trip week of Aug. 7

I am flying into Denver on August 6th and will be staying at the Red Lion in Central denver for the week. I have 8 interviews during the business days for accounting jobs, but other than that I will be looking for shit to do as I will be by myself for the most of the week. Any ideas or mags want to meet up for some drinks or something? Will have a rental car. Hopefully all goes well and I get a job offer and can pack up my shit and move on Aug. 28th. Will be looking for an apartment for me and a bud moving together for Pittsburgh. Surely these companies would not fly me out and pay if they were not interested after the phone interviews right?

    Peace

Cool. Thursday the 10th I have an interview in boulder from 2 to 5 and it is not really that far for another night. Maybe we can get a group of mags together. What is your favorite bar/bistro in Boulder?

oooh, way too many to list a "favorite". The Med has a good happy hour, really good food for cheap (drinks not as cheap). Bacaro has a decent happy hour and a rooftop bar. Lazy Dog for good rooftop but basic bar/food, same for the Foundry or the West End, the Rio for stumbling drunk margs, Corner Bar for mellow hanging out/food/drinks, Walnut for good brewpub food/beer, Southern Sun for non-downtown good beer/food, I could go on and on...

the best beer at the Sun is a beer that they don't even really make. Called the "Kind Crippler", ask for it sometime, you won't be disappointed.

Boulder is full of hippies, don't go there!

Where do you want to live in Denver?

I may be up for some drinks.

Hey thanks guys. I am not sure where I am going to live. It depends on where I get a job at. I have interviews in Boulder, Downtown, Broomfield, and the Tech center. It will all depend. I don't want to commute to far, but I want to live as close to 70 as possible...or another fast route to the mountains. Have any of you tried renting a cheap crappy place around denver and then as cheap as possible (not going to be real cheap i know) place in the mountains? We are trying to do this, thus we will be looking for ghetto housing around Denver. I think we should just pic a place and a night and meet and get drunk.

    Peace

Coloirman...I would meet up with in Shadyside, but I have so much packing and prep work still to do for next week, but defenetly when I get moved to Boulder in 3 weeks. I will have my laptop with me next week and I will have internet at the hotel. If someone picks a night that is good for them, I will be in since all my interviews should be done by 5 or 6.

    Hey guys,

I just arrived in Denver and got into my hotel. Listen to this....I had to rent a car and becuase I am under 25 I hit wit with a 150 bucks for underage charge, then I had to pay like 15% taxes....then I go to my hotel (which was the cheapest I could find that still had internet) and have to pay another 15% in taxes. I am flat broke! If I don't get a job this week, I am not going to be able to afford to move out....I could be living in my car in 3 weeks! IT fucking sucks how expensive all this is.

I have to try and convince some company's for a little help. I might be up for drinks later in the week if I have some interviews go well, but right now I am just pissed and stressed about the whole money thing. I hope I don't have to call home to borrow some funds for the week

    Peace

sorry man. that thing about being under 25 and renting a car is B.S. hope your interviews go well, and if you decide to get out and have some fun I'll buy you some beers.
