    Round Top CA - August 1, 2006

Got some patch boarding up at Round Top yesterday. Some good snow for this time of year up there.
Hit up the patch to the climber's right of the summit first:

Then climbed over to the chutes above round top lake and got a nice run to the lake:

Awesome break from the heat - it was in the low 50's up there.

Did the backside of Caliphonia toward 4th of July. Not too far down. There's a couple walls on the other side of the canyon that are insane, rumors of a clandestine hut, and supposed spiritual experiences that rival a Mescalito sweat lodge hoedown.

    August turns!
It looks like it is still in great shape there. It also looks like a great time. Way to get right after it.

Dooooood! So jealous that you are making turns in AUGUST and I haven't skied since early April. UGH, it's just not fair.

Note to my hubby if he is reading this-

    yo guermo,

How about a little beta for some fellow patch skiers?

From Woods Lake which side of the lake did you go around? We're you on a summer trail or cross country aiming for Round Top?

    thanks mang!

    Hey BC ,
Go to Woods lake campground , then hit the summer trail - it's called Lost Cabin Mine Trail. Easy 2 miles up to round top lake (pictured below chute i rode).
That patch on the lookers right of the peak is money , given me year round boarding for the last 16 years , even in drought years....

noicely done. that line to roundtop lake off the sisters is $$$ in the bank for tahoe turns all year skiers.
