    lets talk cooksets

so I ordered a frying pan and backpackers pantry oven but I need the following for my backpacking:

a kettle to do nothing but boil water
a pot used to cook soup macaroni etc, preferable with a teflon surface

I want to spend as little money as possible and it would be nice if the kettle fit inside of the pot.
Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care

The Texsport 13440 or 13442 are dirt cheap, and they're lighter and more useful than anything MSR makes. They are a thin stainless pot with a handle that locks upright and a lid that is also a frying pan. My stove fits inside.

None of the expensive camping stores carry them: I found mine for $9 at Sportmart. Or you can get them online here (look for "Stainless Steel Combination Fry Pan/Cook Pot"):

They're not non-stick, but for $12 you can't really complain.

That looks like a badass kettle. Not real space efficient though? How heavy is it?

I've a nonTi Evernew set ($3 at REI for 4 of the 5 pieces) that's lasted me well.

It actually is pretty efficient - the fuel, heat exchanger, and burner store inside the kettle, to about the size of a nalgene bottle. weighs 15 oz..

The key is the efficiency. It'll boil a pint of water in 2 minutes.. so you need about half the fuel, saving a bunch of weight.

they've come out with some nifty accessories, too.

If you're going for the serious chick wildwoods action, get this setup.
Once you whip it out and slap it on the campfire, she'll withstand those helicopter mosquitos to sit down in her birthday suit for a candlelit dinner with Chez AK.
