    webpage JONG question

Ok, so I am a total webpage creating JONG. I did a search and couldn't find anything helpful here. I searched google and found Geocities but the launch button for PageBuilder does nothing. Yes, I downloaded the most current Java which according to their help files is the magic cure for all problems.

All I really want to do is make a site where I can post my pics and post a few helmet cam vids of the upcoming season. Nothing elaborite. A photo gallery and vid gallery is all I want.

I have no exp with HTML and really want to get this going before the ski season starts. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

BTW, I just got a myspace page up today. Its addy is http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=97333359 so please feel free to look at it and give me some feedback as to how much it sux or how good it rocks. Add me to your friends or whatever. Like I said I am a JONG when it comes to this shit but I got some good pics and want to learn more.
If you had a nickel for every nickel he has, you would have a lot of fuckin' nickels!

Google 'html tutorial'. Write the html using wordpad. Save '.html' file. Presto.

Use this, it will generate nice looking web pages with the pics, create thumbnails, etc.

The web developers resource. Taught me everything I needed to build basic web pages and even learn CSS (cascading style sheets) the summer after highschool.

If you're going to do it the traditional way:
you'll need a place to put your web site.. see if your ISP gives you something for free. Most do.
Then you'll need to figure out how FTP works.

basic HTML is actually the easy part, once you understand the concepts. <x> at start of things, </x> at the end. script out the page. save it as a text file with a .html extension. upload it to your web server via FTP. show off your new skilz..

    myspace? meh..

People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.
