Live feeds are recorded from yesterday.
Wha?
Where the hell are my live feeds of the ski action that should be happening right now?
Grrrr!!!

It's all pre-qual-practice right now...relax. Wait half an hour and watch ESPN.
Because of the snow, ESPN was playing all of yesterday's stuff. The only live event today was the Skier Slopestyle, which is sick. I hope the snowboarders were watching![]()
Sick as fuck. Ollson-switch 1080 mute.....damn!
Armada wins!
1st-Tanner
2nd-Olenick
3rd-Ollson
Sick!
I watched in with JayFrizzo.
Finals are up on the expn.com website now.
Bigger question: Why was PhUnk, our local mega-star, pow-segment nimonee, wathcing TV / Web sites instead of being at Alta as it PUKED ALL DAY!!?!?!?!?!?!?
We missed ya today; very fun, VERY cold. I even considered wearing my helmet backwards in respect of your Radness and a last attempt at keeping my face from freezing off.

Okay, this may be a little off topic, but did anyone else think that Tanner's second run didn't really deserve the high score he got? I mean it was nice but I thought Jun Olson's first run was much smoother and technical. I almost got the feeling that Tanner won it on name recognition alone.
Another little rant. Does anyone else find the coverage, and announcers in particular, to be really really friggin annoying? When they aren't going to commercial every two seconds the announcers are spewing some crap trying to use every "buzz word" or piece of slang they can think of. It just seems like they try to present this stuff as much more extreme then it is. Don't get me wrong, the stuff these guys and gals are doing is SIIIIICK but I feel like the action speaks for itself. Anyway, just a little rant, so if you agree let me know, if not, well shut up because you are wrong. Or something like that.
"This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules."
I agree that Jon's first run was slightly more impressive than Tanner's second run, but one thing not many noticed about Tanner's second run was his nose press grind on the sterilizer rail, which was sick! It was a very good competition, I think Jon should of got second, even though it's good to get some new blood on the podium.

Do you really call that a nosepress?Originally posted by BradyCU

Jon's #1 and Tanner's #2 (heh) were so damn close.
450 disaster onto the flat-down rail? Yeah, sick. Switch 1080 stomped like he never left the ground? Yeah, sick too.
Tanner Hall to me is the Doug Coombs of park skiing. You watch them ski and they are both so smooth and and composed at all times that you don't realize that what they are doing is really hard. I thought that Jon had a better run, but maybe video in slow-mo will prove that tanner did deserve gold. I did think that peter olenick deserved a medal, that boy threw down the run of his life. Of course, nothing was as sick as metzger's backflip nac nac![]()
smoke crack and worship satan
My question is when did skiing and hip hop become so ingrained? Tanner is from Montana, right? CR from Cali? (and not LA)...
...gold chains, bling-bling... strange.
and a healthy dose of unedited profanities. i was watching the slopestyle while doing some laundry at the parental's house. my mommy asked me, "are those kids high?"Originally posted by road trip

no, of course not, there's no drugs in professional skiing, no drugs at all....!
Mmm... yeah, forgot that. Many a middle finger was launched directly into the cameras.Originally posted by acostiga

Trick for trick, the skier slopestyle was at a higher of level - in worse conditions. The comp. was held in seriously flat light yesterday, while the snowboards had a bluebird. I thought the skiing left a great impression to the public until Tanner stepped in with Sal Maskela. At least Tanner was funny about it. It was a 1/2 pipe snowboarder that made a point to give the camera the double middle finger. Nice.
Last night, the snowboards were 16-18' out of the pipe. The final stage is the skier's this year. Let's hope for a repeat of last year's 20+' sickness.
jon's score was lowered due to his horrendous fashion sense.
fine
I guarantee the skier 1/2 pipe will go off bigger. Expect Greg Tufflemire on his first run to hit the pipe on the right his first hit, and throw the biggest 9 in the pipe you've ever seen. He was dialing in his run at Breck the other day. Was sicker than hell to say the least. He also has the 1080 and 1260 in the pipe....unreal. I hope he does well, along with the Armada crew.Originally posted by Skidawg
