    06/07 Loveland Season Pass Prices?

I know they haven't posted their 06/07 season prices, but I'm going through the abasin vs. loveland season pass debate early this year.

I've had an abasin only pass for the past 3 years mostly because my friends would buy the three mountain pass.

I know abasin increased its basic pass from $190 to $230 probably to cover new construction costs, and I want to see how much cheaper 230 is compared to Loveland's pass.

Since I can't get the official price, what was the price of last season's new holder pass and how much more was it from the previous season?

i'm really battling over which pass I wanna get. last couple of years I have gotten the Copper/Winter Park pass, and got the 5 mountain pass a few seasons back. I would consider Loveland, but it's only 1 mountain.

I purchased my weekday pass last year for $175. I'm gonna get it again this year, and I think it's the same price.
    More gauze pads, please hurry!

Yep, gonna do the Loveland/ABasin combo this year. If Vail gets slammed and Loveland doesn't, I will hit the backcountry.

And some of the not-so-cool kids.

Figure I gotta do it if I'm racing there... Anything in the 220-250 range sounds pretty tasty for limitless chair 6 goodness (which I have yet to experience).

DOOO BOOOOOTH, DOOOOD. and if you can't afford to do both full-time, get the loveland weekday pass and the A-basin full pass

What is it about Loveland that makes you guys want a pass there so bad? Everytime I go I really want to give the mountain a chance since it's independently run, usually empty, and has a great vibe but those things don't really count for much when you're searching for good terrain and coming up empty. Can anyone enlighten me as to the attraction to that place? Are there BC gates that access mind blowing terrain other than what you can already get to for free from Loveland Pass? More challenging, consistently steep runs than just what's on the lookers left of the mountain?

I hate to bag on someone's favorite mountain and I don't really think any of the front range resorts are that much better than the others, but when you compare the 5-mountain pass and all of the BC, park, and inbounds options you get with it I never felt the need to plunk down more coin for a Loveland pass.

^^^ 7 month + ski season, Pretty consistantly good snow due to the elevation, good lines on a lot of that hill - you just need to know where, some of the worst ski conditions (crud) - which makes you a better skier, some of the worst weather - which makes the goods your own private stash (and you not such a pussie), has a bad reputation - which also helps keep the goods to you & your buds, high altitude training, shitload of snow, crapload of wind - which loads your secret stash zones, close to front range, scumbag skiers not shoppers, no Real Estate push, a poma (when it's working), ptarmigan... etc.

All that stuff is true, but I think all of the other areas offer much of those things in better packages (besides the lack of a Real Estate push and abundance of scumbag skiers ). I guess what has always formed my opinion of Loveland is the lack of challenging terrain, but every mountain has its stashes and I'm sure Loveland is no different.

    not that plentiful.
    -loveland kicks ass because:
    -400 inches a year
    -the ridge
    -cheap season pass
    -hardly any lift lines
    -free parking
    -cheap food
    -really close to denver
    -easy access to loveland pass
-you don't have to take 10 catwalks to get to the goods on a pow day. just ride lift one, and drop in!
-not as many gapers as other areas

    stuff that sucks:
    -on the small side
    -cold

thats seriously all i can think of thats bad about the area. loveland + colorado is pretty hard to beat.

Yeah, Loveland seriously lacks any challenging terrain. I haven't skied anything there that was even remotely steep. BUT I had one of my best days there last year on some perfect windbuff. Just huge GS turns with no speed limit. They seem to get that alot and I want some.

Also we've been scoping some seriously gnar shit OB. Like rockpile stylie. Looks very promising. Also Late season there was super fun. I think it's worth it....
