I know it's a longshot, but this board seems to have the answer to just about everything. I have the schedule and activities set up, but when I go to level my resources, they are well over my limits. Any hints, advice, or mocking is welcome.

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.
It's too long since I've worked with P3 to give any help specific to that software. I can only help with loading in a general sense.
Ass-u-ming that you don't have more work than resources. Did you schedule the resources per hour or per day. Depending on how the resource was defined, that could be part of the problem. Do you want a resource to work part time instead of full time? That could cause an overload if the resource can only be assigned full time status.
Can you spread the schedule out? Do you have the same resource assigned to parallel tasks? Did you assign too many resources to a task?
Much more work than resources. It's a 3 year schedule, so resources are scheduled per day. I want the resources to work full-time on a single activity until completion (1,000 activity schedule, about 20 resources, most activities could run parallel), and I want my activities to be delayed due to resource limits. There is plenty of float in the schedule for this, however, my activities are piling up on the data date and they are seeming to ignore the resource loading and leveling. Most activities only have one or two resources assigned to it to simply insure no double booking of heavy equipment (i.e. 250 ton crane). I will doublecheck my resource definiations, but I thought I got that right.Originally Posted by Elkhound Odin

Sorry, I couldn't reply earlier, i-net was down at work. Your problem does seem to be a P3 issue. I wish I could help, my memory has been purged. If you ever have a problem with MSprojects, I'll be all over that.
