Oh we're a real exclusive club. My post is 'guy who always bails.'

Fo' serious- I'm no ath-a-lete, I just ski and bike with them and do my best to keep up. Its a lot of fun just the same.
Come along sometime to the Fells.

As for spandex- no one needs to see me wearing spandex- ever. I'll leave that to Cantdog and the roadies of the world. Come sausage, that's a carefully guarded secret recipe.

Oh and Diskoskigirl is the rock star of our bunch, but she rides a rusty antique big wheel bike that falls apart all the time so she's easy to keep up with.

Wul snap. If you can show us where to park and guide us around 'Nam we'll come out there!

We should also coordinate an East Mass trip up to Highland sometime in September.

    Rock.

Guys, I have IKEA-itis (i.e. moving syndrome) and I'm off to Europe for some conferences on Thursday. Plenty to look forward to when I return on September 3rd. See you all soon!

Franz- sorry I've been so lame lately. We are also moving and will be back up on bikes (hopefully Bill too) after September 1. We'll definitely get out more in the fall- and I'm looking forward to some sweet night rides for sure.

Word. Same here. Gotta get the missus to make good on her promise to buy a bike too, that would reduce my bail-quotient significantly.

    dude- LAME

Anyway- what's everyone doing this week? I think Cant's down in VA and is Franz still in Europe??

Jazzles- it might be just me and you this week and knowing our track record, that isn't very promising. Let's try to get out at least once. I haven't been on my bike since last Saturday and that's just wrong. Lemme know.

I was just lookin at a topo map of the Fells... I dont think Ive ever ridden much farther than Silver Mine Hill (I parked down by the tower)--looks like theres plenty more woods to the north...

I also didnt realize that there is quite a bit of real estate on the east side of 93. Are there any trails over there? If so, are they linked to the west side at all?

The Spot Pond trail connects the east and west sides of the Fells. We usually stay on the West side on the Orange/white loop, which has some fun little techy sections and some decent downhill sections as well.

Just watch out for the crazy woman and her 4 lb attack dog named snowball.

I'm on Marthas Vineyard until Sunday. Next week? I know, Lamepants rides again.

Also John gets his Cliffcat back soon. That should get things stirring nicely.

Next week works well. Oh wait- I'll be packing my ass off all week for our move next Friday. Eh- i can prob fit something in...

I guess an Atti trip should be in the works since John's bike is back and you need to get up there. Have fun in MV, just don't lose sight of the Mountaineer.

Too much dark rum and Pimms have left the Mountaineer temporarily impared. But he is not lost, merely at sea...

    Not before I get back!!!

Oh God, I can't move. Had a couple of jump overshoots at Semmering today. Some of the bruises and cuts feel as if I've grown some additional muscles ...

September 3rd so I'm going to miss out on some epic Labor Day EC riding action.

In the meantime, here's what led to some of the bruises (I'm the photographer on that one):

    i'm out

unless i miraculously get our entire apartment packed up and cleaned tonight, I'm out for the week, which now makes the weeks without x-country riding tally up to three. Good thing i got to ride attitash in the rain this weekend to make up for it...

next week i hope to get out after work on at least two nights, so clear your schedules- especially you, all mighty wondrous mountaineer god.

You guys riding DH up there?

Id like to hook up with y'all at some point... Unfortunately I have ridden my bike three times in the last two months, which has made my sack about as small as a pea (glad I have an 8.5" travel bike) and my stamina similar to that fat shit Garraputo.
