    Boston Bike Coordination Thread

Alright, boys AND girls, I'm sick of doing the same trails with the same friends. The CO and UT bike coordination threads also leave me longing for more.

What's everyone doing over the next few weeks and weekends?

EDIT: to include the ladies (I thought this was obvious).

Really rewarding day at Lynn Woods today. Next time with some mags, hopefully.

    I'm In

Since MildBill's destruction I have been trying to recruit people to ride with me. I'm hoping to convince CantDog and Biggins to ride Fells or Bedford post-work at least once this week. We should plan to meet up if you are interested.

One caveat- I've managed to completely destroy my hardtail and haven't wanted to put time or money into fixing it. My crank will fall off at least twice during the ride, which usually adds an element of humor, but it could also be really annoying for someone who minds interruptions during their ride. Just an fyi...

    Girls are even more welcome.

Fells this week post-work - who's in? I can do any evening.

Some days I'm very happy to be living in NY. This is one of them.

    You are just jealous.

I'm too rad to just go beach cruising with disko, so I gotta go ride my road bike around for a few hours before.

Dude- i kicked your ass last thursday, even with one crank repeatedly falling off and without the ability to shift without losing my chain.

The beach cruiser dominates all who ride it.

I was just getting adjusted to the machine. And I was being slowed down by you and biggins in front of me. Although, it was quite humorous watching you shift, and then watching the chain throw itself into your spokes without mercy.

    Ride today?

Yeah. I was thinking that I kind of want to...

i'll be home at like 615 if you want to come meet me at my house and leave your road bike there. then we can either ride to the fells (pending how disastrous my shifting situation is) or load the bikes into the car and shoot over.

    whaddya think?

A simple solution to having your crank fall off would be to tighten it whenever you stop. Or make Bill buy you a different bike.

I've tried both of these solutions. Neither of them are simple. Billy got the new bike this year since I got the Bullit last year. I've tried convincing him that a great way to spend his recovery period would be to build me up a new hardtail, but that suggestion was not recieved well.

As for tightening the crank, I do that, but when you are super hard core gnar burgers like us, we tend not to stop a lot.

P.S. where have the late night drunk dials been? I think its been almost a year...

Speaking of which, are you planning on riding that skinny wheeled machine around the streets of cambridge this afternoon?

I haven't found myself in too many late night drunken moments recently. My friends in NY don't seem to like to drink as much as my friends in WI.
