Trust me by this point his ass is seriously irritated. I know mine was. Hospital TP royally sucks ass, and trying to wipe your ass with shitty TP while tubes are sticking out of you makes things difficult enough as it is. Thanks maggots

I brought some TP up to plakes this evening and relayed all the ++vibes. He finished his last (11th) treatment early this morning and is now starting to feel "relatively" better. He's hopeful that he'll be going home tomorrow and if not then definitely Sunday. Also, I'd say he's in good spirits and glad that maggots visited him while he was there. Nils, this is the least we can do for you, it was great spending time with you. BE STRONG!

Edit: He does this again in 2 weeks and it would be great if we all pulled for him.

Hey, everyone. I was hoping to keep you guys more in the loop, but couldn't access the intraweb as conveniently as I would have liked. Plus, the last few days I was basically semiconscious.

Well, last week was probably the most difficult week I have ever been through. Even at the beginning, when I was feeling relatively fine, knowing that it was only going to get worse before I got better created a dark cloud over my head. Wednsesday afternoon things really started to get grim, and I pretty much was unable to eat. Not to mention the fact that I couldn'r shave or shower, so I felt real gamey. As soon as I got back to my folks' house this afternoon the first thing I did was take a shower that lasted about 45 minutes, and weed-whacked my face. Maybe after tomorrow's hygenie reginment I maight even feel clean.

But I made it through 11 doses of IL-2. Asnk any oncologist, and they will tell you that qualifies as kicking cancer's ass, big time.

I would like to thank- in chronological order- TacomaLuv, Dexter Rutecki, Woodsy, helmetcam, bklyntrayc, Mtn. Man, and spanky for stopping by to visit me in person.I don't think I forgot anyone- the last few days I was kind of fucked up. It's hard to sleep with a catheter in your arm when people keep waking you up every two hours to make sure you're still alive.

To be honest, I don't know how much I am looking forward to repeating this experience. Feeling like Gary Busey after Oscar Night for days on end isn't exactly my idea of fun. But it sure beats the alternative.

Wow Nils. You're a stud. I just hope that if or when when I'm faced with the type of adversity that you've been faced with that I can have half the composure and attitude that you've displayed throughout your ordeal. I think everyone that knows you probably feels the same. You are a true inspiration. Glad to hear you're at your folks now, that must be a nice change from the small hospital room.

Frankly, you scared the shit outta me when I talked to you on the phone. It's like you were a different person on that treatment, but if that's what it takes then we all know you can beat this.

Oh, and by the way...For some reason you popped into my head last night when I was riding. I was like, "if he's doing that, I can sure as hell make it up all these hills on my bike." It was a cool experience and a ride I won't forget Nils.

We're all cheering you on! Oh, and remember this day. Yeah, it was sick!
