WTF? Burton 420 Kit? RU Kidding me?

From Burton's Site (you may have to click on USA first to get to the page):

    Burton 420 Kit
    $19.95-$24.95 USD

We have no idea what this is for

OK. I'm a snowboarder. And I have inhaled. But what is Burton thinking selling this thing? They also sell a lighter cover on their site. This is just inviting ridicule, perpetuating a stereotype and potentially creating a huge legal liability for themselves (not that I'd really care about that unless it damaged the 3-4 SB companies I actually care about). I just don't get it.

What's next? The bluetooth ipod crack pipe helmet?

Didn't you hear? It's cool to flaunt your dirtbaggery these days. Fuck being discreet and keeping your private business private, there's money to be made!

Besides, Burton must have finally figured out that most snowboarders aren't coordinated enough to just roll one up without needing all kinds of special hardware....

Somewhat related: I remember a snowboarder riding a ganjala with me who had a "snowboard multi tool" complete with screwdrivers, allen wrenches and a built in bowl and mouthpiece. It was like the Cheech and Bond leatherman.

Did you just crawl out from underneath a rock Sin? Burton has been selling their 420 kit for years. Don't act so appalled. All their doing is providing a carrying case for the backcountry essentials.

And after I did, I hoped (to no avail) that the "Find a Dealer" button would have some specialized purpose.

A bigger uproar was when (in the kids catalog) they refered to the color as "Bud Green"

420 kits were on SAC last year in like April for about 5 bucks. Best 5 bucks I ever spent!

rumor has it that some burton employees were given fully stocked kits as a reward. Pretty cool company in my book.

Good one Dad. I may have to use that line.

Part of me wants to give them props for not being overly PC. Part of me doesn't want to be associated with the stereotypical snowboarding stoner. Its a funny product regardless. And the Bakoda stuff is funny. I have one of those tools from the days before it served double-duty.

Does Burton have a kit with a mirror and some blade/straw holders or should I look on the Bogner web page?

This sounds like a skier using ski boots on a snowboard.
