    AFLAC?

How does an AFLAC agent decide which policy level and riders to use in your application?

wellllll, thats a good question. You have good insurance people and bad ones. The good ones will really make sure you are covered. The bad ones will give you whatever makes them the largest commision.. If you are going for insurance, I would try to find someone via a referral.

Girl I know who had a private AFLAC long term disability policy was involved in a bad biking accident, took a corner too fast and exploded when she hit a fence, couldn't work for a couple of years. Her policy had an alcohol exclusion. In the hospital after the accident they tested her blood and her concentration was greater than .08, so they didn't pay, she filed for bankruptcy.

Kind of sad. Don't drink and ride if you want the white goose to stay at your side.

How would you negotiate something like that?

Also, any good stories about AFLAC? Seems like a good thing.

when I took out my acl this year they gave me cash for the days of work I missed, helped pay the er bill, and picked up $30.00 of every PT visit I had.

I also had a great agent that took care of all the paperwork for me.

AFLAC is mostly a supplemental policy to help cover some of what regular insurance does not, at least that is how my policy, and for my employees work. You have to read the fine print well. So agents are great and really work to find coverage for you, and want the long term relationship/ referrals, but other are crooks and are only interested in short term rewards.

Ditto with my ankle. I can't for the life of me remember how I got it, but somehow that damn duck did some good stuff.
