We have one of Lowell's maracas. He tossed it into the crowd and my at the time future wife got it.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

Lowell George died June 29, 1979… 45 years ago… age 32… the man knew where he was going and still went down that road.

    “Whiskey, and bad cocaine
Got me on a Southbound train
If that, don’t kill me soon
The women will at the Spanish Moon…”

Hope you’ve still got a live mic up there!

Just saw Little Feat open for Tedeshi Trucks in Reno earlier in June. 2 really tight bands made for a great night in a small venue.

I was a huge feat/LG fan starting in about '73. When he died I was on the board as a DJ at a small town radio station. The news came across the teletype. I was devastated. Still have that teletype printout.

Oh, and Joe Bonamassa just bought one of Lowell's Dumbles (the head/cab combo). Which has some Feat folks upset, including his son. Bet he paid close to $400k for it.

Little Feat was legend for the first five albums. After that, they were fine for party music, just not legendary. IMO

Waiting for Columbus showcased what Little Feat was, a awesome live band that had some studio success.

The split that began about the time Time Loves a Hero released was there for all to see, it had started during the making of the Last record Album. Little Feat after Lowell died made some decent music but was not the same band.

RIP Lowell and RIP Little Feat.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Probably the best quality sound from a Little Feat concert still in existence

    RIP Lowell

Saw them a couple weeks ago. New (to me anyhow) singer/guitarist and singer/drummer. Sounded good. Lot of waiting for columbus stuff
