    GNU Skis

Ok I just mounted up a pair of GNU skis for a buddy, and yes that is GNU as in the snowboard brand.

These skis are 200 cm with a 133 tip 97 waist and a 120 tail. the skis are full on laminate race construcion with a nylon / ptex side wall and are burly and stiffer than shit. thses guys make a 190 explosive seem small, short, and easy to flex. If you are looking for the ideal Big ass mtn ski these are it. Also there a pain in the ass to drill because they are made of aspen with a very think laminate on top and sick as graphics.

Im hopefully going to getto try em out tomorrow, and meet with the dude that has been making these as a r/d project for GNU.

I don't understand phUnk's answer, it's prolly too smart for me.

The answer I was looking for was: "Not much, what's Gnu with you?"

I guess you don't watch as much TV as Phunk.

I was told that GNU (Mervin Manufacturing) was making these 2 years ago. Finally. I have a gooooood contact with Mervin whose getting a call come Monday morning about getting my hands on a pair of these for some R&D

Where'd they sell those things? How many did they make? If you talk to them on Monday, ask if they'd still be interested in making more of them. I'm sure they could sell more pairs through this board than they sold originally. Post a pic or two.
