Yeah, I am still in school but I'm in Jackson doing an internship........ so I get to pay to work for free........ I love college....

    yeah...but you could've taken a paid internship.

instead, you've got a cool internship in a killer place. (your choice)

are you here through the winter?

can you get a paid job as well?

i know...but what i was saying is that you could get a 2nd (paid) job, right? i mean, you're not going to school right now, are you?

i know, i know...life can be rough. lots of folks are working 2 jobs here to stay afloat & afford to be able to play.

i guess if you want to be in the ski industry, might as well learn sooner rather than later that there's not all that much $$ in it.

For all of you who don’t think they hook up college students, they do. They don’t have a full pass student discount, but they have multiple day discounts. It does not apply to all schools, instead only states neighboring WY. We see discounts which come out to about $25 a day for a college pass to JH through MSU.

    HAHA, I know I know

I do have a 2nd job, and work 16 hour days 3 times a week....... but I am going to need to quit that job soon due to traveling for my main one.

and now back to the point of the thread.......
Is that 1599 pass available until the end of august, or does it go up august 1st?

aug 31st is the cutoff. there's another deadline at the end of sept. after that, it's full price.

it's $1590 for the unrestricted pass.

businesses can make a "contribution" to the airlines to keep flights coming in (and "presumably" keep tourists coming in to support local businesses). in exchange, they get some free passes (depending on the contribution level) and discoutns for all employees.

    sorta extortion.

    Thumbs up

All I can say is the waiter gig I have in restaurants makes things affordable for me & I'm able to ski EVERY day. It also tends to turn me into a lush, which sometimes can be a menace for pow days.

with the more money from pass holders thing, for most larger resorts that is the case.

I spent more on a 5 day trip to jackson, with acc'm and tickets, then my 3 area pass in banff (and that is open for 7 months).

Still a fun trip, just skiing locally (where ever that is) is usually cheaper

For a day at Jackson Hole 70 dollars is a bargain. It would be like 50 bucks at Camelback or Blue mountain in PA. While playing Pebble Beach which is like the Jackson Hole of golf is 400+ dollars. Anyway I'm glad prices didn't go up on day passes and I'll be spending 10 nights in the hizz-ole the last 1/3 of January..Holla
I don't know why you would pay that much for any of those mountains.

hi Bart =) yeah uh 3 days at jackson for your price costs more $ than a season pass for me at Alpental...not really that good a deal. at all.
If that's the way it is, then that's the way it is.

Don't forget a Snow King pass for $100. We have to get back to our roots and night-ski...or do lunch hour laps.

Dang it would take 4 days at Jackson to pay for my pass at Snowbowl. The price I pay for a twelve mile commute.

Watch for signs on campus in november. The backcountry ridding club will be hosting the deal. 150 for a 6 day pass. I will try to remember to start a thread when a date is set for pass sales. The guys from jackson will only be at MSU for 1 day, so don't miss it.

Work from the Vill...steal wireless and set up an RV in the parking lot and you can do a quick lunch-hour Granite lap.
