Source for small sizes for outerwear?

I have a friend who is a very small woman in need of outerwear (Gore-tex, down, etc.). The problem is, most x-small stuff at major stores like REI is too big and most kids' sizes are too small (usually in the sleeves).

I was wondering if any mags know of sources for gear in size smaller-than-American-small. I am thinking maybe Japanese stuff or Euro stuff. Don't know. I (and she) would appreciate any suggestions.

It's US stuff, but my friend Emily rocks Patagonia kids stuff sometimes. Fits her much better since she got her breast reduction surgery.

wifey is size 0 in pants and frequently has to shop kids' 14 from stores such as the gap (normally she would shop where the east asian women would back in canada). she fits perfectly in XS and S from Arc'teryx for base/mid layers. for the outer layer she has a Javelin in a size M. but that's with a fleece underneath.

edit: another company that consistently fits small is Helly-Hansen.

Right after I posted this, I remembered Montbell. Their Japanese site has stuff in "Japanese sizing" but you can't order it outside Japan. But you compare their sizing (actual inches) with, like Isis for instance, and their size S is smaller than an Isis X-small so they may be the way to go.

Unfortunately, the kids stuff usually is too short in the arms. Arcteryx is still too large too though thanks for the reco. I think it may be all about Montbell - or Asics ski wear
