3.5 hours in 91 degree heat with full sun =

1 tired truth. Thank god I had the route planned with a stop at my folks house at the 2 hour mark, the 20 minute break in the pool sure helped me get the last 1.5 hours in. Does that qualify as a brick workout?

Last year I did a 6 hour day, burly technical singletrack, in Austin, TX.
6 hours, 6 liters of water, when we were done at 1:00 PM it was 104.
THEN I went to the Austin City Limits festival...outdoors, no shade, dust, no wind...until it was 107 degrees.
We left and went to the AC refuge at a friends house...went back after sundown (97 degrees) watched a few bands, drove 45 minutes to a friends house for a party...and proceeded to get lit.
THAT was a long day...14 liters of water consumed in 24 hours, and I really don't remember peeing, but I must have.

I put in 4.5 hours on saturday, mostly on single track, felt pretty good, but the ride ended short after some brush got tangled in my rear-d and ended up twisting my Derailleur hanger. It ended up putting the Rear D right in to my spokes, fortunatley the derailur did not get jacked, i straightened out the hanger and it shifts so, so. I ordered another Hanger from http://derailleurhanger.com/ i heard some good things on MTBR.com, so ill leave a review if it works out.

I was sort of stomach sick afterwards too, i may have taken in to much perpeteum or somthing it was wierd the week before i did a 6 hour race and no stomach issues.
I stay up all night, I go to sleep watching dragnet

i did a 20 miler yesterday in sun w/ no clouds and drank 80 oz of water, followed by 2 beers at lunch and then a drive up to the lakes where 3 more were consumed while sitting in the sun.

by dinner i was feverish and chilled, went home and put on jammies and jumped under the covers, shivering. Started to sweat, took temperature.....98.6. Something like sun poisoning. Weird.
