Help me come up with a name for this pup! (kinda ski related)..

So we've found this cute pup and we need a name for him.

As you can see, he has lots of Yellow Lab in him....but obviously has something else mixed in...not quite sure what. None the less, he needs a name. Mrs. JC and I are both snow advocates, so we would like to keep it snow related.

I'd like to hear some suggestions....might have to make this the unnofficial TGR puppy mascott.

Names that are out...as in no effin way:
Atomic, Salomon, Lange...etc. etc. The gear names just aren't sticking. Also have ruled out most resort names like Jackson and Alta. Thought about Ullr or Splat, maybe even A.J. Kitt but just couldn't do it.

    On the block:
    Powder (Pow for short)

And, uhhhh......that's about the extent of my creativity. Gotta give this poor thing a name and I don't want it to be super cheesey.

Bode... he's kinda scruffy, and has that vacant look in his eyes.

Maybe it's just me, but he seems to have some chow in him. That speckled tongue, the shape of his skull, ear fur, and his half-mane all suggest chow to me. For some reason, I've been seeing more mixes in the past year or so that appear to be part chow.

Bode actually seems like a good match, but you might be concerned that it suggests hero-worship.

You could call him Tanner, but then he'd be likely to die while hitting a gap.

If he were a she, you could try Firn or Neve. Or Hoar. Or Hestra.

What about the name of a favorite couloir or mountain?

Yeah, I've read that about chows and the tongue. I guess that might keep the size down a bit, but who knows.

Thanks for all the suggestions...keep em' rollin.

Chow-Labradoodle pup should be named "xuebai" which means "snow white".

Looks like a chow got to a labradoodle for sure, not making that up.
I believe it is Zu Bai, but you'd have to ask a native speaker of mandarin chinese. Xue - snow Bai - white.

But he is a dog, so change it to Huang Xue ... yellow snow

Name him Avalanche. That way when you're out in the BC and he gets lost you can yell "Avalanche" at the top of your lungs until you find him.

When I was a kid we had a dog named Dog. He was a stray that we got from my sister. Almost everyone that first met Dog would use his name unintensionally, "Hi dog, hi doggie, what's his name?" or "Get outta here you stupid dog." It was perfect, and if I ever get another dog I'm going to name him Dog.
